Learn How To Make Chinese Frog Buttons Like These!
Have you ever seen these great buttons, but thought that they were to complicated to make? Well here are simple step by step instructions so that you can make great Chinese Frog Buttons! You can make them with bias you make from fabric that matches your garment or any other fabric you like. First cut your fabric in long strips 1" wide on the bias. Fold the strip in half and stitch 1/4" from the edge. Use a loop turner to turn the the bias strip right side out. You can now begin with the instructions below.

Start by holding the cord as shown.........

Cross the cord into a loop just as shown...

Now make two loops as shown....

Twist the two legs as shown.....
 |
Allow the top loops to open up as shown, and feed the right leg through the loops following the arrows.......
 |
Now to finish the button, gently pull the legs until the knot becomes a ball. You can cut the legs short and
stitch them flat to use with regular button holes. Or you can use more cording to create a loop.
